About Scott
Hello everyone! My name is Scott Genovese and I from Long Island, NY. I am a certified NY state music teacher. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and certification when I attended LIU Post - Long Island University from 2007-2011. I also went to LIU Post for a Master's Degree in Music Theory and Composition from 2012-2014. I am a drummer and percussionist who has and still does perform throughout the Tri-State area. I have also performed overseas in France, Poland, and the Czech Republic. I have my own private teaching practice, I am currently a part-time general music teacher at St. Clare's Catholic Academy, and I am a substitute teacher in three school districts. In addition, I am the drummer for a band named Optic and the live/session drummer for other various groups. When it comes to performance and drum lessons, I am very open-minded and teach various genres/styles such as Rock, Jazz, Metal, Funk, Latin/Brazilian, Orchestral, and more! I am glad to be a part of the VirtuLessons establishment as the official drum instructor/teacher and I am really looking forward to teaching you all who sign up!
