Matt Huntington
About Matt
Matt Huntington has been playing music for over 25 years and is an accomplished musician, composer, arranger, and educator. Specializing in woodwinds, Matt's main area of expertise is in jazz, but he is also adept at playing classical and pop/rock music. Originally from Philadelphia, he comes from a long line of educators and is passionate about teaching and helping others discover the beauty and importance of music (which he has been doing since 2002). Matt has studied with some of the finest musicians in the world and is able to convey their teachings, as well as his own findings, in a way that is easily understood by students of all kinds. His naturally friendly, enthusiastic, and upbeat attitude make lessons fun and inspiring, and he focuses on finding ways to make practice both enjoyable and rewarding. Matt holds a BA in computer science from Vassar College and an MA in jazz performance from SUNY Purchase.
