Andrew MacRossie is a student of saxophone performance at Colorado State University, studying under Peter Sommer, Wil Swindler, and Dr. Dan Goble.
As a classical performer, Andrew has served as the principal saxophonist for CSU's top wind ensemble, and was the soprano player in Dan Goble's saxophone quartet. In 2016, he performed at the North American Saxophone Alliance biannual conference in Lubbock, Texas, in the master class of saxophone legend, Frederick Hemke. He was also a semifinalist in CSU's concerto competition as a second year undergraduate.
While having a deep connection to classical saxophone literature and performance, Andrew is also familiar with jazz settings, having played bari sax and lead alto in CSU's Jazz II ensemble.
